USEFUL INFORMATION

At Zebon, we want to give you as much useful information as we can – in lessons, in person and online. Here are a few notes and resources that we hope you will find useful.

THEORY TEST
Learner drivers have to pass a theory test before booking a practical driving test. The test covers all aspects of driving theory such as attitude, safety, handling, rules of the road, traffic, road signs and so on. The test is delivered using a touch screen computer for the multiple choice part and clicking on a mouse for the hazard perception part of the test.

Unlike some driving schools, Zebon will prepare you for this theory test, as well as for the practical test.

PRACTICAL TEST
The practical driving test is designed for you to show your practical skills and understanding of the Highway Code and the theory of driving safely. Throughout the test, your examiner will be looking for an overall safe standard of driving.

This is the part of the test that normally gets most of pupils’ attention. Zebon can offer a tailored schedule of lessons leading up to the practical test, to give you the best possible chance of passing.

BOOKING YOUR TEST

Zebon recommends that you do not book your test until your instructor advises you to. It is tempting to book it straightaway, but it is disappointing to fail.

The quickest and easiest way to book, check, change or cancel your theory and practical tests is online. The Driving Standards Agency (DSA) recommends that you book through Directgov, but you can also book by phone or by post.
